The Fitbit Surge is a Technology-Packed Wearable Fitness Tracking Device

The Fitbit Surge is steering away from the smartwatch label. Unveiled late last year, the wearable fitness tracker offers some notifications, but specializes in the tracking element more than anything.

Described as a fitness super watch, the Fitbit Surge measures your location via GPS tracking, heart rate, all day activities (like steps, distance, calories burned, floors climbed and time spent being active), auto sleep and alarms. The device syncs wirelessly to computers and smartphones and also has multi-sport capabilities to record cardio, cross-training and running. You can even see workout summaries. In addition to a long battery life, the wearable shows text and call notifications and allows you to play music (songs are controlled from your mobile playlist).

All of this comes in especially handy for those in training.
