Viking Icelandic Reinvented Fish and Chips as a Snack in a Bag

Fish and chips is no longer a sit-down meal but also a snack to take on the go thanks to Viking Icelandic's flash-dried fish and chip snack. The company's signature bags of flash-dried whitefish are mixed with fried potato chips for a balance of proteins and carbs. Runar Omarsson of Viking Icelandic created this snack after spending many years as an outdoor guide, and seeing the appeal for mountain bikers, hikers, seafarers and plenty other outdoor enthusiasts.

The fish and chip snacks are available in two classic varieties: Salt & Vinegar and Salt & Pepper. At the Winter Fancy Food Show 2022, Viking Icelandic shared samples of its flash-dried fish and chips, which are packaged in bags that are styled to look like newspaper wrappings.
