The Finland Micro Cabin is a Nature Lover's Dream Space

This compact Finland micro cabin is home to Robin Falck, who has dreamed of a secluded personal getaway upon retiring from the military. Falck has dubbed the pint-sized home, 'Nido', which translates roughly in Italian meaning 'birds nest.' The house sits in a tranquil spot surrounded by sky-high evergreens, overlooking a magnificent picturesque lake.

Although the cottage is only 96 sq. ft. with a 50 sq. ft. loft, the space has been designed to maximize the minuscule square footage. The downstairs living room is perfect for kicking back with a good read and glass of vino. The outdoor deck has ample space for entertaining friends, barbecuing and soaking in the sun's rays.

Using mostly recycled materials, Falck was able to construct his dream space for just under $11,000. This space maximizing micro cabin is the ideal personal city escaping retreat.
