MINI FASHION and Liam Hodges Introduce the Field Notes Collection

MINI FASHION works in collaboration with The Woolmark Company and British designer Liam Hodges on the Field Notes collection. Hodges is set to create and showcase the new collection at the historic trade show with an angle that stems from urbanistic influence. The spirit of exploring is channeled as the collection looks to the many different opportunities for working with the rich Merino wool fabric material. The Field Notes range "is underpinned by a central theme of memory and experiences of travel, as well as the idea of transcending borders." To showcase this eclectic theme, the different designers on the project use Woolmark textiles to create their own interpretations to display different points in time through design.

Hodges took an angle that directly related to travel, by creating pieces that are convenient to live in transit including airport apparel. He drew inspiration from the novel 'The Goldfinch' by Donna Tartt, which follows a journey from bustling New York to the deserts of Las Vegas. Some details of the collection include all-over prints, string belts, removable pouches, and a plethora of pockets -- all of which make travel easier and limit any security struggles.
