Sometimes a polished look is too, well, polished; instead something that is a little rough around the edges is what's called for like this FF1 Chair. The fact that it's not too rustic or raw is perfect, as well.
Designed by Fox & Freeze, founded by Belgian designers James Van Vossel and Tom de Vrieze, the FF1 Chair is made from a large sheet of synthetic felt bounded by flax rope. Considering that it doesn't seem like much was needed to create this seat, it's really strong -- just check out the video about it.
