Projection-Mapped Holiday Trees

This Art Studio Created a Light Shop Atop a Festive Christmas Tree

Brazil-based creative studio Ambos designed this festive Christmas tree that features an amazing projection mapping light display. This projection allows beautiful lights that reflect the season to dance and move across the pine needles and decorations, which essentially brings the tree to life.

The magically festive Christmas tree was created by using a mapping tool, which was coded by Ambos using 'Processing' software. The unique light code is digitally rendered to the tree in 3D, which is then mapped out to project colors and lights.

While this festive tree is less traditional, it certainly combines the tradition of decorations with the advancements being made in technology. This unique display is one-of-a-kind and it introduces the reality of infinite ways to decorate one's Christmas tree -- or various other physical objects.
