The 10th anniversary of the Feminist Porn awards is upon us! The event, which is produced and sponsored by Toronto-based sex store Good for Her, aims to recognize and celebrate the emergence of all types of porn: straight, queer, trans, lesbian, including people of color, people with disabilities and people of all ages and desires. Ultimately, the awards are an attempt to usher in a new age of porn; one that welcomes, nay, demands, inclusive, sex-positive and feminist material.
The nominees for the event are chosen according to four different criteria: quality of film, inclusiveness of sexualities, "it" factor and hotness. Some of the films up for an award this year, (which is in the shape of a butt plug, "as it represents sexuality that everyone has, regardless of sex, gender or orientation"), are Erika Lust's 'Art of Spanking' and 'If You Dare' by Lucie Blush.
