In an unusual twist on stuffed felt toys, Vancouver-based artist Hine Mizushima creates stuffed toys and small felt displays from more unique animals.
The artist creates and sells a plethora of designs on Etsy and Society6 and each item and display is endearingly unique. There are plenty of intricate stuffed insects which are placed onto wooden wall mounts, octopuses that are playing instruments, ethereal mushroom displays and small felt displays of squids. The artist also includes some strange pieces that have a darker subject matter -- with small felt females that appear as if they are using their internal organs as leashes for their pets.
The strange felt toys are certainly not aimed at children, since the unusual choice of animals and occasionally bleak toys are meant to be though-provoking for adults.
