The Feast in the House of Simon Collection is Modernized

When it comes to inspiration, a popular place to start is the past, and that is exactly where the Feast in the House of Simon furniture collection was born. Named after the Renaissance painting that spawned the line, the pieces are near replicas of the table present in the artwork.

Designed by Mark Moskovitz, the Feast in the House of Simon furniture collection came into fruition quite by fluke. During an award fellowship spent in Berlin, Moskovitz was in the habit of roaming around the city for inspiration. One day he found himself in the Gemaldegalerie, revealing, "I’d never trolled paintings for design inspiration so it was random, but I locked in on the table leg. It was really striking how different it was from others of this era and how modern it looked."
