Gritty Graffiti Portraits

The Fauxreel 'Face of the City' Series Symbolizes Human Frailty

I’m actually a fan of graffiti--I think it’s a great form of expression and when done respectfully, like this Fauxreel ‘Face of the City’ series, it can really add to a city. I mean, just take a moment to truly appreciate the work in this gallery. It takes an uber amount of talent to create something like this.

The Toronto-based street artist uses his signature paper affect for the Fauxreel ‘Face of the City’ artworks. According to the artist, each piece "combines the abrasive charm found in the distressed surfaces of modern cities with the intimate familiarity of the prominent features of the human face."
