Thick-Tired Electric Tricycles

This Fat Tire Tricycle Can Reach Speeds of Up to 20 Miles Per Hour

The Rungu 'Juggernaut' fat tire tricycle is set to receive a speedy makeover with a new electric version of the thick wheeled pedal bike.

Originally designed for carrying surfboards across sand, the new version of this fat tire tricycle maintains its hefty wheel design but adds a 2,000-watt rear hub motor. Powered by a 48-volt lithium-polymer battery, this bike will now allow riders to reach a top speed of 20 mph for roughly 20 miles per battery charge. The 'Juggernaut' could likely go even faster, but in throttle mode the top speed has actually been electrically limited.

Besides the added electric motor and battery, the tricycle still maintains its two front wheel design for added stability, fat rear tire for better traction control and shoulder width spacing for improved overall handling.
