The entire industry is glamorized through the media, from the hit book and movie The Devil Wears Prada to TV shows like Ugly Betty and the Hills. The application process is tedious, requiring samples of our editing abilities and clippings from your portfolio among other things.

Flare, however, is taking a more modern approach in their search for the perfect intern, asking candidates to submit a video resume which is then uploaded on the site. There the 90 second or less clips will be watched my dedicated fashionistas who will have their say in who should be chosen as the ultimate intern.

After flare.com readers cast their votes, the final decision will be made by the panel of judges which includes editor-in-chief Lisa Tant, as well as other staff members including the featured editor and fashion and beauty directors.

So far, only four candidates have uploaded videos, one of which is male!
