Distorted Avant-Garde Lookbooks

The Facetune2 App Inspired the LUAR Spring/Summer 2019 Lookbook

The LUAR Spring/Summer 2019 runway show at New York Fashion Week was sponsored by Facetune2, the next-generation version of the immensely popular Facetune app for selfie and portrait editing. Facetune2 also worked with designer Raul Lopez and artist Fletcher Nightwine on a series of images that explore fantastical beauty through oversized silhouettes and shrunken accessories.

The lookbook for the SS19 fashion collection dubbed El Infinitum Purgatorio is centered around the idea that Facetune2 is widely used for retouching photos, yet it challenges "perfect" body standards with purposefully distorted faces, fashion and figures.

At the NYFW event, guests in the front row of the fashion show were treated to special giftboxes from Factune2 with an acrylic QR code that could be scanned to access lifetime VIP status, which unlocks premium in-app features.
