The Facebook Data Center is Amazingly Energy Efficient

Facebook knows a lot about a lot of people, and the company keeps all this information stored in the Facebook Data Center. The building was designed by Sheehan Partners and is located in Prineville, Oregon. The entire space takes up 332,290 square-feet.

One of the most amazing features of the Facebook Data Center is how energy efficient the building is. The structure has been awarded LEED Gold status, which is the second highest status that the US Green Building Council awards. The building uses 28% less energy and other high-tech data centers, and it cost 24% less money to construct. If the building works better and costs less, why aren't all buildings made in the same fashion? That would solve a lot of problems.
