Extruded Pendent Lamps

The EXTL Lights by David Irwin is Contemporary and Structured

The EXTL Lights may appear to be very simplistic with its clean lines and structured appeal, but there is more to it than meets the eye. Short for extruded lights, the name of the EXTL Lights refers to the process of extrusion, which pushes a material through a die and is typically used for products with intricate cross-sections or brittle materials, like ceramics. In this case, however, the EXTL Lights are made out of aluminium.

Designed by David Irwin, an Irish designer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, for United Kingdom-based furniture and lighting manufacturer Deadgood, the EXTL Lights are comprised of five identical profiles that are bound together with a black silicon band. They are available in two sizes and various finishes including matt black, gold and silver anodised lustre.
