Expensive Ice Cream Sundaes

Chef Sebastien Chamaret Creates a Frozen Dessert That Costs $1000

The world's most expensive ice cream sundae may ring in at a whopping $25,000, but that doesn't mean a $1000 is any less shocking. That's right, Sebastien Chamaret, a chef at swanky Meatpacking district restaurant Bagatelle, has created a decadent frozen dessert that will put a dent in both one's wallet and teeth.

Dubbed the 'Mauboussin Mega Sundae,' but also known as the 'Jay-Z of desserts,' the expensive ice cream sundae consists of vanilla ice cream, chocolate truffles, homemade macarons, Dom Perignon Rose sorbet with gold leaves, chocolate vodka sauce, gilded brownies and, of course, fresh whipped cream. Served in a giant martini glass, the expensive ice cream sundae is not something to be had every day. Unless you are Jay-Z.
