Humorous Exclusive Candy Ads

This Exclusive Skittles Ad Will Play for Only One Person

Skittles announced in an ad entitled 'Super Important Super Bowl News,' that it will be debuting its most exclusive Skittles ad yet, as the spot will only be played for one person - a fictional Los Angeles teen named Marcos Menendes.

This unique ad was created specifically for Menendes, but the public has been invited to live stream the teen's reaction, from the candy brand's Facebook page. This one-of-a-kind marketing stunt was announced in a humorous ad spot, in which a fictional news anchor is seen arguing with an individual, through the individual's television screen. The news anchor claims "that sometimes what you cannot see is more interesting than what you can see," which the individual refutes by saying "according to whom?" which flusters the anchor.

According to the candy brand's VP Matt Montei, "we really felt like we wanted to continue to reinvent ourselves around this time frame and one way to do it is to just try a completely new way in." This tongue-in-cheek gimmick will include several video teasers, but no official ad spot.
