Evan Penny Sculpts His Past and His Future With Plenty of Detail

Artist Evan Penny has yet again created two unique pieces that will simply make your jaw drop.

The sculpting artist created two larger-than-life busts of himself and added a unique twist to his works. One piece was a bust of his younger self, complete with his curly ginger hair and thick-rimmed glasses, while the second was a predicted future version of himself, balding with liver spots and wrinkles.

In reference to his pieces, Penny states that, "Young Self and Old Self are dual portraits of myself as an old man and as a young man. The works are self-reflections alluding to the subjective nature of time, memory and desire, and how photographic images inform and distort perception and representations of the self."

Evan Penny's sculptures are so realistic that if they were not so large, they would easily pass off as real human heads. The pieces are made of silicon, aluminum, hair and fabric.
