Eva by Simon Colabufalo Brings Produce Back to Their Roots

Eva by Simon Colabufalo is a unique fruit holder that pays tribute to where the produce (at least most of them) originally came from. Shaped like a mini tree, the user simply hangs the fruit off of each branch. Not only is this a creative way to display one's fruit in the kitchen, it also gives the culinary space a sculptural piece of decor.

Presented at DesignEX 2012 in Sydney, Australia, Eva by Simon Colabufalo is made out of polished aluminum. A prototype for now, the design might have to be tweaked to take into account fruit with no stems. Perhaps a bowl can be integrated around the base of the fruit hanger to symbolize the ones that fall, which happen in nature all the time.

Either way, Eva by Simon Colabufalo is a beautiful design.
