The Etable by Tommaso Bistacchi, an industrial designer based in Milan, Italy, is designed in such a way that it looks like it is perpetually on a reading break. The built-in magazine rack is angled in such a way that a person can rest their reading materials opened to the page they left off at. The circular surface above the rack appears to look down upon the magazine, newspaper or book left opened. Hence, it is given a cute bit of character.
Made out of curved wood with a solid beech wood base, the Etable by Tommaso Bistacchi was created in cooperation with Davide Anzalone. Despite its cartoonish appeal, the materials are sophisticated enough to fit any modern home.
