Sweatshop-free hoodies and t-shirts are the core product of Epona Clothing, a socially aware fashion company that works with small-scale organic cotton farmers. In addition to supporting these producers through purchase of their materials, Epona also re-invests its profits into social and environmental initiatives to support their communities in India.
Epona Clothing, which was launched in 2002 by social entrepreneur Tom Andrew, partners strictly with certified Fairtrade cotton in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The apparel can either be purchased blank, or customers can take advantage of their printing services, which include digital, transfer and screen-printing as well as embroidery. Epona is also becoming well known in universities in the UK, as they are now its leading supplier of fairtrade cotton apparel, supplying items like branded track pants and sweatshirts.
