EnWave and PiP International Partner to Produce Pea Protein

EnWave has officially partnered with Protein Isolate Plant International (PiP International Inc.) to assess the potential use of the brand's signature Radiant Energy Vacuum ("REV™") dehydration technology for commercial use. In particular, EnWave will leverage the tech at its large-scale yellow pea processing facility.

As of right now, the partnership only consists of a Technology Evaluation and License Option Agreement. As part of the agreement, PiP will lease out a 10kW Radiant Energy Vacuum machine for intensive product development. If EnWave is able to create commercially viable pea protein products using the technology, the company will -- as per the agreement -- purchase large-scale REV machinery.

Overall, EnWave's move to begin producing pea protein is representative of the dramatic increase in demand for pea protein-based products in recent years.
