This Australian office building is about to change the landscape of environmentally sustainable design. Located in Canberra, Australia, Nishi is the continent's greenest office building. Currently under construction, the building's entrance way will have a suspended ceiling consisting of 2150 reclaimed wood boards taken from old houses and a basketball court. The stunning Japanese inspired interior staircase also recycles materials from the old Nishi construction site. While the inside may look chaotic, the placement of every single wooden board was pre planned prior to construction.
The environmentally sustainable design is why people are referring to Nishi as "Australia's most radically sustainable mixed-use building and apartment complex." The building currently provides office space and houses a hotel.
