Realistic Prince Sculptures

Engagement by Jennifer Rubell Relives the Royal Betrothal

It cannot be denied that women around the world wished that they could have been standing in Kate Middleton's place in the famous engagement portraits taken by famed photographer Mario Testino; well, the solo show titled Engagement by Jennifer Rubell grants that wish. Not in the way originally imagined, of course, but it beats cutting out one's own photo and pasting it on top of Kate's figure.

Currently being displayed at Stephen Friedman Gallery in London, Engagement by Jennifer Rubell centers around a very realistic sculpture of Prince Charles, standing in an almost identical pose from the official engagement photos. On his sleeve rests the ring that forever changed Kate Middleton's life. Women need only rest their arm on his to slip their finger into that ring.
