Model Emma Oak is fiercely flirty in the latest editorial for Costume Finland, titled ‘Cloakroom for the Brain.’ Her strong gaze and relaxed poses combined with the editorial’s unique beach fashion creates a strong photo series that is simultaneously fashionable and personable.
The most eye-catching outfit displayed by Oak is a crocheted bathing suit top paired with black and white high-waisted tribal-pattered shorts. The suit’s top uses a brighter color palette than the shorts, featuring greens, blues and purples. This contrast causes the crocheted texture of the bathing suit top to pop off the page.
Photographer Dennis Stenlid manages to make this photo series highly intimate by extracting a relaxed attitude from model Oak. He also uses a lot of natural light to give ‘Cloakroom for the Brain’ an organic feel, as if a photographer was just photographing his friend at the beach instead of a model.
