The Emilia Wickstead Fall 2014 runway collection is a striking departure from the flirty feminine silhouettes and poppy colors that the designer usually sends down the runway. This time around, the dark fashion collection features tough outfits that seem to take subtle inspiration from armor. This is most notable in a long leather coat that looks like something out of the Matrix, in addition to another long black coat that was punctuated by Swarovski crystals around the seam lines.
Also bringing its inherent toughness to the collection was a snake skin pattern, although it was refreshingly contrasted with a few bright pops of bright citrusy orange colors and floral patterns, bringing some much-needed lightness to the collection.
