Floating Sky Pools

The Embassy Gardens SkyPool Will Appear to Float Ten Storeys Above Ground

If you are afraid of swimming pools and heights, then the Embassy Gardens SkyPool will not be for you. Plans for the yet to be constructed London establishment indicate a sky-high pool will be hovering over England's capital. The pool, which will join two towers of an apartment complex, is a joint project from Arup Associates, Ballymore Group, Ecoworld and HAL.

To heighten the experience, the bottom and sides of the Embassy Gardens pool will also be transparent, giving swimmers the illusion that they are unsupported mid-air. It will be located ten storeys up, appealing to adrenaline junkies and those with strong swimming skills. The 90 foot long pool will hold 123,000 gallons of water and have 8 inch thick walls.
