Sheer Tiered Gowns

Elie Saab's Spring/Summer 2013 Collection is Translucent

Elie Saab's Spring/Summer 2013 collection wowed audience members at the 2012 Paris Fashion Week. Light seafoam frocks and raspberry-hued dresses lined the fierce catwalk, wise decisions for the warmer months.

The focal point of this Spring/Summer 2013 set was on textures and patterns rather than colors however. Tiered floor-length gowns were interspersed with lacy bits of translucent fabric, allowing onlookers to peer through the legs of the models while still covering considerable portions of their bodies.

This layered style has been at the fore of pieces put out by Roberta Ridolfi, Givenchy and Valentino. Together they have displayed the dainty beauty of the apparel, revealing slivers of skin through the thick and often floral pieces of fabric.
