Designer Mian Wei is attempting to reduce the amount of waste accumulated from cosmetic products with the Droplet electric toothbrushes. The brushes are engineered with a minimalist shape and size, allowing only the necessary amount of packaging to be used. In addition, the brushes are engineered to not require part replacement with a bristle head that can continuously be reused.
While electric toothbrushes due tend to do a better job at cleaning teeth thanks to the high powered bristle motion, there are many parts of the device that need to constantly be replaced. This is not the case with the Droplet brush, that opts for an industrial strength bristle head, sleek structural shape and magnetized compartments. The brush is sleek and simplistic, with a focus on remaining environmentally friendly and reusable.
