Toyota Revealed Its Electric Shuttles for the Olympics

Toyota has revealed the electric shuttles it will employ for the 2020 Olympic and as well as Paralympic Games, which will take place in Tokyo. The vehicle is titled the Accessible People Mover or APM for short. The vehicle's design is all-electric and has an open-air, three-row design that can hold up to five people.

The electric shuttles have a max speed of 12 Mph and are powered by lithium-ion batteries which can power the vehicle for 100 kilometers on one charge. Production will include 200 vehicles that will be used to transport people around the 2020 Olympics.

Toyota is also planning to showcase a number of other vehicles in honor of the Olympics. The company has indicated that it will create a flying car that will light the Olympic torch.
