Voter-Encouraging Music Stations

Rock the Vote's Election FM Shares Exclusive Music for Voters

Election FM is using music as a means of encouraging youth to exercise their power to vote in the upcoming United States presidential election of 2016.

On election day on November 8th, people will have the chance to hear exclusive music from Watsky, Local Natives and The Head and the Heart—but only if they head to their local polling station first. After physically heading to the location, those who visit the Election FM site on a mobile device will have the chance to stream the songs. While there are many voter-encouraging campaigns out there, this is one of few that features an actual incentive.

Election FM is a new offering from non-profit organization, Rock the Vote, which has used pop culture, music, art and technology to get youth to appreciate and take advantage of their political power.
