The Edible Ashtray and Cigarette Butts Protest V-Day Desserts

The edible ashtray and cigarette butts were created in protest to all of the pink and red hearts invading the dessert market for Valentine's Day. Deceptively disgusting, in reality, these smoker treats will do more damage to the waistline than the lungs.

Created by Miss Cakehead and Nevie Pie Cakes, the edible ashtray and cigarette butts were put together for self promotion. Miss Cakehead writes on her website, "We created a mail out for some of our ‘edgier’ new business possibilities with the aim of showing them we can unquestionably generate reaction, buzz and get people talking." The ashtray and cigarette butts were packaged with edible ash and blackened lung cookies for a dramatic effect. Wrapped with tissue paper and red rose petals, the recipients got a nasty albeit delicious surprise.
