BigFish Has Unveiled a New Eco-Friendly Fish Packaging

JCS Fish has unveiled new eco-friendly fish packaging for its BigFish range of products to help cut down on the amount of plastic consumers can expect to see in it. The packaging is reported to have curbed the brand's use of plastic by roughly 60% and now utilizes cardboard to help encourage recycling. The brand has eliminated its use of dual-polymer plastic bags for its frozen breaded salmon bites, salmon fillets and fish cakes, and now features packaging that has a 25-year-old photo of JCS Founder Andrew Coulbeck on the front holding a salmon.

Commercial Manager Jack Coulbeck spoke on the new BigFish eco-friendly fish packaging saying, "Our aim was to cut as much plastic packaging as possible and give the brand a refresh at the same time. We’ve worked hard to find the most responsible supply chain for our salmon so it’s only natural that we should also want to find the most sustainable packaging solution to put it in."
