The Dynamorph pavilion by Orproject is a temporary art installation that embodies the true meaning of experiential design. The sensory project was built as part of this year's Venice Biennale which is set to officially open on June 7th.
First opened last May, the stunning exhibition space was designed for the International Cultural Institute (ICI) and features an array of historic Nepalese shamanic artefacts. The structure is cavelike and relies on interior elements that mimic iridescent, crystal forms.
The sensory Dynamorph pavilion gains its main inspiration from Shamanism, "a practice that involves the channelling of transcendent energies into the material world." Orproject's design is made from over 3000 individual segments that vary in size and shape. As a whole, the structure appears dreamlike and surreal thanks to its undulating elements.
