The Duo Speaker is London industrial design firm Blond's latest attempt at creating an all-in-one induction charging device. While most electronics products tend to focus their efforts on the active product and push the peripherals to the side, the Duo Speaker is flipping the formula by highlighting the device's charger.
While the system's speaker, a chic cylindrical Bluetooth-connected device made of aluminum, is powerful and attractive in its own right, the real draw for the Duo Speaker is its wireless charging tray. Made from solid-surface Corian, the tray charges both the speaker and many other electronic devices without having to plug them in. The tray is compatible with most smartphones and with some smartwatches, including the Apple Watch.
Attractive and convenient, the high-end Duo Speaker is an appealing interior addition to Millennial homes.
