Organically Perforated Dishwares

The Dunes Bowl by Alessandro Isola is a 3D Printed Design

The Dunes Bowl is an organic piece of dishware that has been inspired by the dunes of sand found in the Sahara desert, hence its name. Of course, it has been given a futuristic twist thanks to its smooth white surface that is only solid where it needs to be. The other parts of the Dunes Bowl are perforated to create an airy pattern and texture.

Designed by Alessandro Isola, the Dunes Bowl was created using 3D printing with laser sintered nylon powder.. Made for aperitif snacks, hors d’oesurves or fresh fruit, the Dunes Bowl boasts two bowls, each different sizes to create a slanting effect. This inclination also creates a nice lighting effect for aesthetics.
