Located in Bergen, Norway, the Dune House by Min2 Architects is an enchanting oval-shaped design located in a magnificent dune landscape. The designers state, "The high tall form had to fit in the dune landscape. During the design process this form became one of a dune or of a windswept group of trees sloping along with the worn landscape near the sea."
The house is encased in custom-made clay tiles made to look like pot-shelves. Inside, the house boasts three storeys; in order to optimize their view, the couple who owns the home mostly resides on the upper storeys, where the living areas are located. Inside, the house features tree-trunk pillars for support, giving off a natural, earthy vibe. Another organic touch comes in the form of the seaweed carpet used on the upper floor.
