Driverless Rideshare Fleets

Cars from Uber's ATC are Launching in Pittsburg

Uber is now sending driverless cars onto the roads of Pittsburg. You'll need a special invite though and be recognized as a loyal customer to Uber, as the company has turned away many from its Uber's Advanced Technologies Center, where the self-driving cars are being shown and tested.

The Uber self-driving car can only drive in a designated area as well, for instance in downtown Pittsburg. This is the first time members of the public can actually experience this type of driving. This is also where the public has the chance to learn the safety features of self-driving and the dangers it may cause.

The car industry is working diligently to bring self-driving cars into the world by 2018 and 2020. Car companies like Audi, BMW, Ford, GM, Toyota, Tesla, Volkswagen and Volvo are working with Apple and Google to make this dream a reality.
