Downloadable Fine Art Collections

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Now Lets You Download Art

Typically when you think of art collection, it involves actual canvases, sculptures, prints or anything else that you could potentially hold in your hand, however, The Metropolitan Museum of Art has now made it possible for you to stock up on it virtually, since you can now download art from its online collection.

There are nearly 400,000 art pieces available for download, including works by artists like Albrecht Dürer, Picasso, Èdouard Manet and Rembrandt. The art pieces have been released as "Open Access for Scholarly Content" (OASC) and deemed that these images may be downloaded for free and used by students, academics and people working on other scholarly not-for-profit projects.

Images are noted with an OASC symbol and a small down-pointing arrow button when they are available for download.
