Dowling Duncan Redesigns US Dollars for Dollar ReDe$ign Project

If Dowling Duncan's US dollar redesign ever saw the light of day, the Canadian dollar would cease to be made fun of. I mean, you can't really get more colorful than this concept.

Conceived for the Dollar ReDe$ign Project, Dowling Duncan's currency is centered around convenience and education. Aside from the contemporary, graphic design, the most startling change is the vertical format rather than the traditional horizontal one. Dowling Duncan explains, "You tend to hold a wallet or purse vertically when searching for notes. The majority of people hand over notes vertically when making purchases. All machines accept notes vertically."
