Light-Up Engagement Rings

These DIY Rings Glow When Your Special Someone is Near

These DIY rings are the perfect romantic gesture for anyone thinking about popping the question to their special someone. Created by Ben Kokes when he proposed to his long-term girlfriend, these rings are made of a titanium band with LED lighting just below the surface.

When activated, the pale LED lights placed around the band cause the ring's gemstones to glow. With each ring comes a transmitter that can be placed in the sleeve of a jacket. The two transmitters deliver an alternating current that activates the LED lights. When they come close to each other, the rings begin to glow.

This adorable idea was carried out spectacularly by Kokes who proved that these technologically advanced projects do not need to be carried out by a tech expert.

With a cute gesture like this, he/she will have a hard time saying no.
