The updated disposable contact lens is manufactured from Hioxifilcon A, a high-water-content hydrogel material containing 50% water. The design features thinner edges that are meant to reduce friction against the eyelid during blinking, along with a PFAS-free construction and an updated fit intended to improve insertion ease and overall wearability.
The lens has already been distributed to approximately ten percent of the company's existing customer base prior to the nationwide rollout, and it carries FDA approval for daily wear, ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical validation.
