This dish rack is designed by Sugata Mono Studio for Ishikawa, which is an innovative concept that optimizes space above all else. It works as a collapsible draining rack that pushes boundaries and makes the space more convenient. The device uses a patent-pending spring system, which gives the rack an accordion-like structure to allow users to expand it to a full length that measures 36 cm.
When it is shrunk down, it measures 3 cm and the best part of the mechanism is simple, breaking down and springing up in only a second. Once it is done serving its purpose, it can collapse and be cleared from the counter and stored away in a drawer or transported for camping.
