Perhaps the most bizarre thing about Rebecca Wilson's 'Dirty Rotten Peaches' is that each of these figurines are actually made out of a peach. Wilson's strange series consists of figurines depicting voluptuous women upended and without pants. Oh, and one or two of the figures is defecating some strange material.
Each figurine is made from a peach that is stained in porcelain and then decorated with a pastry bag. The result is a set of figurines that are designed to explore the "the parallels between ‘valuable’ and ‘everyday’ I have drawn a symmetry of opposites between porcelain and confectionary items; both are similarly self indulgent, inspire desire and are coveted, but both are fundamentally frivolous."
I couldn't have said it better myself. You can check out Rebecca Wilson's 'Dirty Rotten Peaches' here.
