This Diplom-Is’ Royal Ice Cream Packaging is Recyclable

This Diplom-Is’ Royal ice cream packaging has been developed by Berry for the Norway-based brand as a more sustainable take on the brands existing packaging. The packaging is crafted with non-carbon black plastic rather than the traditional carbon black plastic alternative and is detectable by Near Infra-Red (NIR) scanners used within waste sorting protocols. This will make the ice cream containers recyclable and suitable for disposal through municipal programs.

Communications Manager Anne-Line Molland spoke on the new Diplom-Is’ Royal ice cream packaging saying, "We are always on the lookout for more sustainable and affordable packaging solutions for our products so when we got the opportunity to switch our premium ice cream brand Royal to non-carbon black containers, the choice was easy."
