Sculptural Carbon Fiber Seating

The Dipinta Di Blu Chair by Adele Cassina is Darkly Elegant

The Dipinta Di Blu Chair looks like something out of a Tim Burton's film set. Dark and sculptural in an off-kilter way, it would be easy to imagine Johnny Depp lounging quirkily and charismatically on it. A work of art more than a piece of furniture, only a limited edition of the darkly elegant seat was produced, each going for a whopping 6,250 euros on the Italian site Owo.

Designed by Adele Cassina, daughter of the famous Cesare Cassina, the Dipinta Di Blu Chair might mean Painted in Blue in Italian, but it is crafted out of carbon fiber. The asymmetrical silhouette of the seat accentuates the curved lines of the backrest and subtle spiral of the legs. It belongs in an artistic or Gothic household.
