High-Powered Peplum Details

The Dior Pre-Fall 2012 Collection is Accessible and Parisian-Chic

The Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2012 line is a safe, classic collection that stays true to the standard aesthetic the fashion house is known for, while also being entirely wearable for the average woman. Several black and white looks in the collection feature elegant pencil skirts, shiny black patent leather outerwear and understated double-breasted jackets, worn with a belt. While these looks are perfect for the office, the rest of the line has a playful feel to it, with pastel-colored peplum dresses with chunky black heels over opaque tights and explosive statement necklaces. The Dior Pre-Fall 2012 line also has several looks that celebrate the full-length maxi skirt.

Bill Gaytten, John Galliano's former "right hand man," is the current designer for Dior, as the iconic house has not appointed an official replacement since Galliano's firing in March of 2011.
