The Dinner Time Pasta Project Captures the Essence of Meals

The Dinner Time Pasta branding was a project done by students Dan Ogren and Kaz Ishii from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

The project was to create a brand from scratch. The duo said of their project design, "[We wanted to] put a strong emphasis on family gathering. It distinguishes itself from competitors by making a bold statement with a less traditional Italian look."

The packaging for Dinner Time Pasta used a simple color scheme of orange and black with accents of a cardboard brown color.

Implications - Branding and packaging have become extremely important investments for companies. By having unique designs, the packaging will stand out against competitors on the shelf. When designing, however, target groups' preferences must be considered.
