The Volu Dining Pavilion is a prefabricated space, designed by the world-renowned Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid in collaboration with Patrik Schumacher, that reimagines the practice and sensation of dining.
The pavilion features a curvy clamshell-like structure which is quite reminiscent of Hadid's other designs. Measuring 6 x 4.6 x 3.2 meters, this pavilion comes fully equipped with a wooden dining table. Its total footprint of 20 square meters makes it sizeable yet not overbearing.
The structure itself comprises a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminum and wood, and is available in limited quantities for about $480,000 each. It was put together using computer-assisted technologies and laser-cutting methods.
