Sonic Digitox The Routine is a timed phone lockbox that restricts smartphone access through physical locking rather than software controls. The device offers a Routine Lock mode that automatically secures a phone during scheduled daily time periods and a Timer Lock mode that locks the case for up to 99 hours and 59 minutes. An emergency reset function remains available but activates a one-minute alarm and displays a reset indicator on the case for 24 hours. Additional modes include a clock display and a standalone timer without engaging the locking mechanism.
Constructed from ABS plastic with a polycarbonate lid, the lockbox measures approximately 190 × 70 × 170mm and operates using three AAA batteries. The package also includes a goal sticker and a smartphone agreement card intended for household or parent-child screen time planning. Available in white, blue, and pink, the device received recognition at the 2026 Japanese Stationery Awards.
